Documentation
Two books and a set of guides. The framework never needs Studio; Studio is built on the framework.

The books
- The Kervan framework: write MCP servers as a
kervan.yamlspec or in TypeScript, serve them over stdio or Streamable HTTP, and test them. Start with the quickstart. - Kervan Studio: the optional self-hosted web app for teams. It edits, publishes and serves specs through one gateway, with users, an encrypted secret vault and an audit log.
Guides
Task-focused walkthroughs, each checked by running it:
- What MCP is, and what Kervan adds
- Build an MCP server from a YAML file
- Expose a REST API as MCP tools
- Connect a Kervan server to Claude Code
- Self-host a multi-user MCP gateway
